Session FAQ’s
WHAT’S YOUR STYLE?
I’m a natural light, lifestyle photographer. What this means to me is, instead of taking photos of the traditional posed portraits with smiling cheesily at the camera, I guide you to be your natural selves and focus on capturing the genuine love, emotion, and connection between you and your family.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING A SESSION WITH YOU?
Expect to have fun with one another, to laugh, cuddle, kiss, play with one another! Forget worrying about telling your kids to behave themselves and cooperate, forget about trying to force them to stay still and look at the camera. Take this time together to explore, play, jump and be silly. These sessions are about embracing the chaos and the crazy with one another. During the session, I will guide you into different positions & ask you to cuddle into one another, sneak kisses or move you into spots where the light is the best but that is about the extent of my involvement in directing you.
Don’t be surprised if I ask your kids to circle mom and dad like sharks! Its all about having fun!
What does our photo package include?
The full family session is a 1hr session taken at the location of your choice & includes all edited digital images with print release. You receive your images in an online private gallery. From there you will be able to view and download all your images directly to your PC or laptop.
WHAT TIME DO THE SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
For indoor sessions, the time is pretty flexible. I always like to suggest a morning time (around 10am) as babies/young kids are usually a bit more relaxed and happy in the mornings.
Outdoor sessions are a different story. These take place during golden hour, which is the time of day just after sunrise or just before sunset - where the light is beautiful, flattering, and, well, just generally pretty damn magical! The times will vary depending on the season, and in summer, this can make the start times either really early in the morning or much later in the evening. If that is a concern I suggest a fall session. And if you have littles, I can totally understand how unappealing these times may sound. I have two littles of my own & really don’t like messing with their sleep – but I promise you, for this one day, it is totally worth the small disruption and will make your photos extra special!

How long before i get my photos?
I will try to share sneaks 2-3 days following your session. These will be shared on Instagram & Facebook so be sure you are following both pages & feel free to tag yourself or share with your friends/family!
Your gallery will be delivered 2 weeks after your session. You will receive a link via email to a private online gallery. You will be able to view & download the edited images from there. A print release is included!
What if the forecast is rain?
We will pay close attention to the weather the week of your session & I will contact you the day before regarding any ill weather. If the forecast is overcast we will go ahead with the scheduled date; however, if the chances are calling for bad weather we will reschedule your session.
